Do you need a specific sound for your grand project ? Our team has your back.
Michaël Ghelfi Studios (MGS) has gained a world-wide reference spotlight for D&D/TTRPG audio with its wonderful community of 150,000 members, tens of millions of views and a library with over 1,500 sounds!
The Studios has its work inserted on dozens of projects – and the clients always return. Our work can be found on bands, shows and video games, as well as with artists, professional gamemasters, writers, and more! Besides, thousands of podcasts, Twitch broadcasts and YouTube videos have already featured our content.
Our Patreon and YouTube pages, amongst others, are fully functional. This means that the Studios is not rash about any commissions and we will work on your project by pouring our heart and soul into it as if your idea was a personal one for us.
Read our terms and conditions below to find every information needed to guide you towards the best decision: working with our dedicated team!
“Personal Use” can be defined as any non-commercial project, usually with a scope limited to a small group of people (e.g. an ambience or song for a private Dungeons & Dragons group).
Any person or persons interested in a commission (the client) must send our team (the Studios) an email at: contact@michaelghelfi.com. The email must include the following information:
By sending enough information, both parties shall agree on a price. Usually the composition process requires approximately two weeks to be concluded – it can require more time if there are multiple tracks. The client will always be informed about any deadline details in advance.
The Studios will send demonstration (“demo”) tracks in order to receive the client’s feedback. Once the order is completed, the client has the right of up to two (2) rounds of modifications on the tracks, but this procedure is generally unnecessary.
In order to manage our very low prices, the Studios wishes to maintain the commercial rights to each piece, this allows us to share them on our Bandcamp and Patreon pages. If agreed upon, our team will overdeliver, which means that, instead of a single ambience track, the client can receive up to ten (1–10) variations of it – plus a few audio effects (SFX) files – for the exact same price. Furthermore, the Studios can share the credited piece with its entire community should the client choose.
By default, the Studios maintains every commercial right on each commissioned piece. Both parties can enter a different agreement.
The Studios asks for half (50%) of the total price to be paid upfront, this can be done via PayPal or direct bank transfers here.
The client has the right to a discount if several pieces are commissioned. Details should be discussed in advance.
“Professional Use” can be defined as any project not classified as “Personal Use”, such as commercial and/or public use. Examples include, but are not limited to: a book’s themes, an escape room’s atmosphere, an exposition’s audio, a kickstarter, a movie, a song’s background, and a video game (free-to-play or not). Contact us if you have any questions.

Our team strongly suggests that any potential clients access the licenses shop before commissioning a track. Most of our Studios’ work can be found on it. Contact us if any track is missing.
The main advantage of buying a license is acquiring it immediately, alongside the download and its respective invoice – it is also cheaper than a commission. The official list containing every track our team has ever composed can be accessed here.
The End User License Agreement (EULA) can be accessed here. The client and our team can enter a different agreement.
If several pieces are commissioned at once, the client has a right to the following discounts:
